Round table discussion in Zugdidi

On 28th of June, 2018 round table meeting was organized in the frames of Zugdidi Family Strengthening Project (FSP). The representatives of local government (Social Service Agency, Department of Health and Social Services of Zugdidi Municipality) and NGOs attended the meeting. During the meeting, Zugdidi FSP social workers presented cases of two beneficiary families living in social and economic hardship. The families were facing many difficulties and were in need of urgent support. After the meeting, the representatives of local government together with FSP social workers visited families and offered them various types of support. Namely, the offered support envisaged following steps:
Provide one child and one adult with expensive medicaments
Provide a child with special needs with a wheelchair
Ensure renovation and roofing of the house
Ensure refurbishment of the room
Provide family with unpaid pension (note: the family did not get pension for several months)
