We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe and caring environment. That is why our work is focused on protecting the rights of children and youth and creating a better future for them.

We are active supporters of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the United Nations Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children. Our primary goal is to create loving and stable family environments for children without parental care, enabling their full development and well-being.

Our Priorities

Our advocacy focuses on protecting the fundamental rights of the child. Our goal is to ensure:

• Access to quality education
• Availability of healthcare
• Creation of a safe and violence free environment
• Creation of opportunities necessary for personal development.

We place special emphasis on supporting vulnerable children and youth, including the prevention and elimination of gender-based violence (GBV).

Strategic Partnership and Systemic Change

We collaborate with local communities, government institutions, and international organizations to:

• Improve the well-being of children and youth
• Ensure the development of family support and community-based services
• Strengthen gender equality and promote equal opportunities for all.

SOS Children’s Villages Georgia is dedicated to developing child- and family-oriented services to ensure that children can remain in their biological families or receive high-quality family-like care.

Our Impact

Since 2013, we have been members of the Coalition for Children and Youth (CCY), which enables us to:

• Engage in various important dialogue processes
• Strengthen advocacy for vulnerable groups
• Influence child welfare policies.

Since 2020, SOS Children’s Village has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Early Childhood Development Coalition, playing a significant role in the development of early intervention systems in Georgia.

Our active involvement helps promote the adoption of high-quality, evidence-based practices.
